Our 80/20 Soil Mix is a screened blend made with a higher percentage of topsoil and a smaller amount of peat moss. This mix is processed to help remove most clay lumps, roots, and larger debris, making it easier to spread, level, and work with.
Because of its high topsoil content, the 80/20 mix is a heavier material that packs more firmly than lighter garden blends. It is commonly used for building up low areas, raising grades around foundations, filling in larger areas, and preparing sections of a yard where several inches of material are needed.
The added peat moss helps improve the texture of the soil while still keeping the mix dense enough for levelling and filling.
